Diffuser needs FRP work
This is a VAR Diffuser manufactured or distributed by VSaero primarily made of FRP material. VSaero FRP parts are manufactured with fiberglass and plastic resin which strengthens (F)iber (R)einforced (P)lastic. Using FRP allows VSaero to form aggressive styles of various sizes or shapes while still retaining a large degree of strength. When installing new unpainted and unfinished fiberglass parts there may be cracks or surface imperfections that need filled and/or leveled. This should be fixed in the prep stage of installation at a professional body shop. Bolts, screws, and double sided tape are not included. All fiberglass parts require modification, shaving, sanding, drilling, filling in order to ensure proper fitment.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in our retail store. To be installed professionally by a bodyshop with a valid automotive repair business license. Fiberglass parts always require prep work before they can be primed and painted. This product is made with fiberglass material, therefore it will exhibit chips, breaks, cracks, waves, scratches and holes which require modification. It is necessary to dry fit and drill mounting holes and preform body work before paint. Cutting and adding of fiberglass may be required for proper fitment. Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Primer finish. Hand layup is the manufacturing process used for the majority of our fiberglass parts. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
VSAero diffusers are not "direct bolt-on" parts and often require extensive preparation, including sanding, fitting, or custom bodywork. Common issues may arise, such as potential warping, cracking, or fitment challenges if not handled or installed properly.
Typically, VSAero diffusers fit below the rear bumper, and modifications to the bumper may be necessary to accommodate the diffuser. It’s important to note that many diffusers are designed to fit specific bumpers or aftermarket styles, so careful attention to design and compatibility is essential when selecting and installing a diffuser.
In terms of installation, VSAero diffusers typically require separate mounting hardware, which is not included with the product. This hardware may consist of L-brackets, bolts, screws, washers, and other fasteners. L-brackets are often used to securely attach the diffuser to the vehicle's chassis or bumper, while bolts and screws ensure a tight fit. Depending on the design and specific fitment of the diffuser, additional supports or reinforcements may be necessary. Since this hardware is not included, installers will need to source the appropriate materials separately, ensuring compatibility with both the diffuser and the vehicle.
For optimal results, VSAero recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced with fiberglass components and aftermarket accessories, as traditional auto repair shops may lack the expertise to properly handle the nuances of fiberglass fitment and hardware requirements.
Please note that VSAero diffusers are strictly intended for off-road and show use. Due to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, most VSAero diffusers are not street legal. VSAero disclaims any responsibility for damage or injury resulting from the use of these diffusers and does not endorse or recommend their use on public roads or highways.
