This is a Mirror Covers manufactured or distributed by ModeloDrive with Carbon Fiber being the primary exterior surface material. Most carbon fiber parts we sell are "wet" carbon fiber, this means they have that "wet" glossy look, the only exception to this is then the product specifically states "dry". Dry carbon is usually lighter than wet carbon but has a dull flat finish. When installing ModeloDrive Carbon Fiber parts make sure you are using hood pins on hoods and do not use hydraulic arms to prop open hoods and trunks as they can warp the light weight components over time. ModeloDrive Carbon fiber parts may require modifications such as: Drilling of holes / cutting / sanding / fixing cracks / buffing to eliminate scratches, etc. Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Manufactured with a marine gelcoat variant to help prolong the life against UV aging effects. Our Carbon Fiber parts are made with handlaid wetcarbon with plastic resin. Genuine show quality carbon reinforced with FRP fiberglass backing. Aeroparts are to be installed by a professional body shop. Bolts, screws, and double sided tape is not included. Carbon Fiber parts often have a fiberglass underside which may require modification, shaving, sanding, drilling, filling in order to ensure proper fitment.
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in our retail store. To be installed professionally by a bodyshop with a valid automotive repair business license. Carbon fiber parts are reinforced with a fiberglass backing for added strength. Carbon fiber parts still require prep work. You will need to preform taks such as: buffing, drilling holes (for winshield windshield water nozzles, etc), adding or removing fiberglass (mounting tabs, etc). Carbon is a composite material and may exhibit more gap than OEM materials. Hoods require hood pins. ModeloDrive mirrors and mirror covers are often lighter and smaller than OEM parts, featuring more aerodynamic designs that may result in reduced visibility compared to standard mirrors. As such, these products are not suitable for street use, and professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure proper fitment and safety.
Due to the nature of fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, ModeloDrive mirrors, mirror covers, and accessories are not “direct bolt-on” parts. Significant preparation may be required, such as sanding, cutting, shaving, or filling gaps, to achieve a proper fit. In some cases, additional fiberglass reinforcement may be needed in certain areas. Drilling holes for mounting and making custom adjustments for alignment may also be necessary.

In some cases, enlarging mounting holes or using shims may be necessary to compensate for slight variations in the design or warping of the fiberglass.

Modifications, including drilling with a rotary tool or replacing components, may be required to fit these accessories to your vehicle.
For optimal results, ModeloDrive strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components, as traditional auto repair shops may not have the necessary expertise to perform these modifications.
Safety and Legal Use
ModeloDrive mirrors, mirror covers, and accessories are designed strictly for off-road and show use. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products are not street legal. The reduced visibility provided by smaller, aerodynamic mirrors makes them unsuitable for public road use. ModeloDrive does not endorse or recommend using these mirrors or accessories on public roads or highways.
