To be installed professionally by a bodyshop with a valid automotive repair business license. Carbon fiber parts are reinforced with a fiberglass backing for added strength. Carbon fiber parts still require prep work. You will need to preform taks such as: buffing, drilling holes (for winshield windshield water nozzles, etc), adding or removing fiberglass (mounting tabs, etc). Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Manufactured with a marine gelcoat variant to help prolong the life against UV aging effects. Carbon is a composite material and may exhibit more gap than OEM materials. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
All mirrors, mirror covers, and accessories offered by ModeloDrive are designed as aftermarket accessories intended exclusively for off-road and show use. ModeloDrive assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury resulting from the use of these products. ModeloDrive mirrors and mirror covers are often lighter and smaller than OEM parts, featuring more aerodynamic designs that may result in reduced visibility compared to standard mirrors. As such, these products are not suitable for street use, and professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure proper fitment and safety.
Due to the nature of fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, ModeloDrive mirrors, mirror covers, and accessories are not “direct bolt-on” parts. Significant preparation may be required, such as sanding, cutting, shaving, or filling gaps, to achieve a proper fit. In some cases, additional fiberglass reinforcement may be needed in certain areas. Drilling holes for mounting and making custom adjustments for alignment may also be necessary.
Mirror Adjustments

This may include repositioning mounting points or adjusting brackets to align with the original mounting system. In some cases, enlarging mounting holes or using shims may be necessary to compensate for slight variations in the design or warping of the fiberglass.

Washer Nozzles, Tubing, and Wiring Compatibility
In some cases, washer nozzles, tubing, or wiring for mirror-related features (such as power adjustments or defrosters) may not be fully compatible with ModeloDrive mirror designs. Modifications, including drilling with a rotary tool or replacing components, may be required to fit these accessories to your vehicle.
For optimal results, ModeloDrive strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components, as traditional auto repair shops may not have the necessary expertise to perform these modifications.
Safety and Legal Use
ModeloDrive mirrors, mirror covers, and accessories are designed strictly for off-road and show use. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products are not street legal. The reduced visibility provided by smaller, aerodynamic mirrors makes them unsuitable for public road use. ModeloDrive does not endorse or recommend using these mirrors or accessories on public roads or highways.
