Carbon fiber parts still require prep work. You will need to preform taks such as: buffing, drilling holes (for winshield windshield water nozzles, etc), adding or removing fiberglass (mounting tabs, etc). Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Manufactured with a marine gelcoat variant to help prolong the life against UV aging effects. Carbon is a composite material and may exhibit more gap than OEM materials. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.

Due to the nature of carbon fiber reinforced with fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, ModeloDrive trunks and hatches are not “direct bolt-on” parts. They may require additional preparation, such as sanding, shaving, filling gaps, or other custom bodywork. Installation may also involve modifications to vehicle components to properly fit the new trunk or hatch.
When transplanting the locking mechanism from the original trunk, you will need to drill holes and add fiberglass reinforcement to ensure proper mounting. Proper alignment and secure installation are critical for the functionality of the lock and the durability of the trunk or hatch.
