Due to the nature of fiberglass components, some level of preparation such as cutting, sanding, or adding fiberglass may be required during installation. It is strongly advised to dry fit all parts before drilling or applying paint. Taking the time to properly align each component will ensure your Toyota MR2 achieves a clean, cohesive, and high-quality final appearance.

Carbon fiber parts still require prep work. You will need to preform taks such as: buffing, drilling holes (for winshield windshield water nozzles, etc), adding or removing fiberglass (mounting tabs, etc). Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Manufactured with a marine gelcoat variant to help prolong the life against UV aging effects. Carbon is a composite material and may exhibit more gap than OEM materials. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
All scoops—including side scoops, hood scoops, and roof scoops—made from polyurethane, which usually requires minimal prep work. This prep can include drilling holes, applying filler, using a flex paint agent, sanding, and applying primer for the desired finish. While these scoops are not ""direct bolt-on"" and may require custom work, side and roof scoops generally demand fewer modifications as they often attach to existing panels. In contrast, hood scoops may require cutting into the hood for functional airflow or improved fitment.
For long-term durability, additional polyurethane reinforcement might be necessary in high-stress areas. Correct alignment and secure attachment are crucial, especially for vehicles used at high speeds or in off-road conditions. To ensure the best fitment and safety, ModeloDrive strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop familiar with polyurethane components.
