ModeloDrive has carved out a strong reputation in the aero parts market by delivering high-quality fiberglass and carbon fiber components inspired by aggressive JDM styling. Designed for vehicles like the BMW M3, their products combine bold aesthetics with functional design, giving enthusiasts a compelling way to elevate both the look and presence of their build. From front and rear bumpers to side skirts and wide body fender flares, each piece is crafted to enhance the overall stance and aerodynamic profile of your BMW M3.
Built using durable FRP fiberglass with optional carbon fiber construction, ModeloDrive components strike a balance between performance styling and affordability. Their wide range of designs caters to both street builds and track-inspired setups, making it easy to achieve a distinctive, head-turning appearance. All products come in a primer-ready finish or exposed carbon fiber, allowing complete flexibility in how you customize your BMW M3.
For best results, professional installation is recommended. As with most aftermarket aero parts, minor adjustments such as trimming or alignment work may be required during installation. Performing a proper test fit before final mounting will help ensure clean fitment and a refined final look, allowing your BMW M3 to fully showcase the aggressive styling ModeloDrive is known for.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in our retail store. To be installed professionally by a bodyshop with a valid automotive repair business license. Carbon fiber parts are reinforced with a fiberglass backing for added strength. Carbon fiber parts still require prep work. You will need to preform taks such as: buffing, drilling holes (for winshield windshield water nozzles, etc), adding or removing fiberglass (mounting tabs, etc). Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Manufactured with a marine gelcoat variant to help prolong the life against UV aging effects. Carbon is a composite material and may exhibit more gap than OEM materials. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
All hoods and hood accessories offered by ModeloDrive are designed as aftermarket accessories intended exclusively for off-road and show use. ModeloDrive assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury resulting from the use of these products. ModeloDrive hoods are often lighter than stock hoods and may feature vented designs, which can cause additional aerodynamic lift at high speeds. As a result, hood pins or AeroCatch latches are mandatory to ensure safety, as standard hood latches may not provide sufficient security.
Due to the nature of carbon fiber reinforced with fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, ModeloDrive hoods are not “direct bolt-on” parts and often require significant preparation, such as sanding, cutting, shaving, and filling gaps. Additional fiberglass reinforcement may be necessary in some areas. Drilling holes for mounting, custom fitting adjustments, and modifications like drilling holes for windshield washer nozzles and tubing using a rotary tool may be required. It's important to note that not all original components, such as washer nozzles and tubing, may be transferable to the ModeloDrive hood depending on its design, so modifications or replacements may be needed.
Hood Latch Adjustments
ModeloDrive hoods typically require repositioning the hood latch to ensure proper alignment and closure. This involves carefully adjusting the latch, making small tweaks to move it up/down or forward/back until the striker catches securely. Given that fiberglass hoods may have slight variations or warping, additional fitting, such as enlarging mounting holes or using shims, is often required for proper alignment. Adjustments to or removal of hood bump stops may also be necessary for proper fitment.
Hood Accessories: Scoops and Other Modifications
ModeloDrive also offers various hood accessories, including scoops, which can enhance the performance and appearance of your vehicle. Attaching a hood scoop typically requires drilling holes in the hood for mounting, as well as using bolts or adhesive, depending on the style of the scoop. When installing hood scoops on fiberglass hoods, it may be necessary to add fiberglass reinforcement around the mounting area to ensure the scoop is securely fastened and properly aligned. Careful measurement and fitting are essential to prevent leaks and to maintain the structural integrity of the hood.
For optimal results, ModeloDrive strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components and hood accessories, as traditional auto repair shops may lack the necessary expertise for these modifications.
Safety and Legal Use
ModeloDrive hoods, hood accessories, and other products are strictly designed for off-road and show use. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products, including hoods and hood scoops, are not street legal. ModeloDrive does not endorse or recommend using these products on public roads or highways.
These are aftermarket hoods which means they are not direct bolt-on parts and will require prep work by your bodyshop before installation.
Hood Security: AeroCatch latches or hood pins are always required in addition to whatever locking mechanism the hood has. This applies to all FRP and carbon fiber hoods — they are generally lighter than stock, and vented designs in particular can generate significant lift at speed, so those latches are required.
Latch Transfer: We'd recommend having your bodyshop check the underside photos in the product images before ordering — many hoods, whether FRP or carbon fiber, either include a latch already molded in, or come with the bolt holes needed to transfer your OEM latch over. This is especially common on hoods for cars with more complicated removable latches (like the E36), so it's worth confirming before assuming hood pins are the only option.
Wiper Nozzles: Your bodyshop will also need to drill the wiper washer nozzle holes and additional holes through the underside skeleton to route and mount the wiper fluid tubes underneath — this applies to both FRP and carbon fiber hoods. Most hoods have cutout areas already built into the underside bracing to make this easier — your bodyshop should check for those first. When drilling, the best practice is to mark the area with blue painter's tape to protect the surface and prevent splintering, start with a small pilot hole, and work up progressively in bit size.
