This is a LBPE Wide Body Fenders (front) 4pc manufactured or distributed by ModeloDrive with FRP being the primary exterior surface material. ModeloDrive FRP (fiberglass) parts are made to a higher standard than most mass produced US market fiberglass parts. Holes will not always be pre-drilled so you still will need to dry fit the parts before they can be prepped and finished. Due to the nature of fiberglass there may be cracks or surface imperfections that need filled and/or leveled. This should be fixed in the prep stage of installation at a professional body shop. Bolts, screws, and double sided tape is not included. All ModeloDrive fiberglass parts require modification, shaving, sanding, drilling, filling in order to ensure proper fitment but generally speaking less than the competition.
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in our retail store. To be installed professionally by a bodyshop with a valid automotive repair business license. Fiberglass parts always require prep work before they can be primed and painted. This product is made with fiberglass material, therefore it will exhibit chips, breaks, cracks, waves, scratches and holes which require modification. It is necessary to dry fit and drill mounting holes and preform body work before paint. Cutting and adding of fiberglass may be required for proper fitment. Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Primer finish. Hand layup is the manufacturing process used for the majority of our fiberglass parts. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
ModeloDrive fenders and fender flares are aftermarket accessories specifically designed for track, show, and off-road use. These components are made from high-quality materials. Fiberglass parts may require modifications like cutting, while carbon fiber reinforced fiberglass typically needs less preparation; however, minor adjustments may still be necessary, such as drilling holes for bolts or wiper nozzles. ModeloDrive disclaims any responsibility for damage, injury, or loss resulting from the use of these products.
Fender Flares
ModeloDrive fender flares are designed to extend the wheel arch for a more aggressive stance, often matching the style of a complete body kit. Depending on the style, some fender flares may need to be attached using rivet nuts with a rubber gasket between the flare and the original fender, neither of which is included. More aggressive flares may also require cutting and rolling of the original fender to allow for greater wheel clearance and a lower stance. Due to the nature of fiberglass, adjustments during installation are common; care must be taken to ensure proper alignment and fitment to avoid gaps or uneven surfaces.
Fenders
ModeloDrive fenders provide an aesthetic upgrade, giving vehicles a sleeker and more customized appearance. These lightweight fiberglass replacements often require additional fiberglass reinforcement around the A-pillar and the fender mounting flange for durability and a secure fit. Trimming and reshaping the fender may be necessary to align with the vehicle’s mounting points. Modifications to factory components, such as removing fender liners or adjusting brackets, may also be needed for proper installation.
For best results, ModeloDrive recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in working with fiberglass. Traditional auto repair shops may lack the necessary expertise for proper trimming, cutting, or modifying fiberglass components.
